Hiya! I've been with the White Horse Project since 2017 - dabbling in workshop leading and a few bits behind the scenes too, such as this very website! I live in Leeds after graduating in Music Performance and Production at Leeds Beckett.

Amanda

Volunteer

Hi! I’m 56, and I have 2 Daughters a 31yr old and 12 year old. I chose to volunteer at WHP simply because I wanted to support Young People in building their self confidence and grow up feeling equipped to navigate life’s ups. I most enjoy seeing the young people who attend enjoy the space provided to simply be themselves and celebrate each other.

Claire

Project Worker

Hi, I've been involved with The White Horse Project since 2017, cooking tea for youth club in the days of the boiler house, as a Trustee and currently as an employee. I support the team with my background in social work and management. I want to make sure we are a safe, welcoming place for all young people; full of opportunities. Hopefully you will see me popping into sessions πŸ™‚

Zoe

Lead Youth Worker

Zoe is our lead youth worker. She runs all our sessions, making sure things go smoothly. She ensures all young people are included, and volunteers feel valued and supported, day to day. Zoe was an academic for many years, whose focus was on children's rights and participation. She brings her rights-based approach to practice at the White Horse Project, ensuring that young people's voices are heard and that they feel ownership of the Project. Zoe loves art and crafts, music and DIY and brings all of this to her work.
